As a full service environmental risk mitigation firm, Brady Risk Environmental focuses on protecting the environment from the harmful effects of inflow and infiltration (I&I) and exfiltration from broken and leaking private and public wastewater collection systems. These broken and leaking systems cause contamination, pollution, sanitary sewer overflows and destruction to aquifers and estuaries.
Cured-In-Place-Pipe implies, this is a process that takes place within the actual pipes themselves, and in the vast majority of cases, requires little or no extensive and costly excavation.
CIPP (Cured-In-Place-Pipe) or Pipe Within A Pipe process is 100% trenchless. No digging up floors, landscaping, or tearing up walls. The versatility of this system allows linings of a variety of pipes with different sizes, shapes and dimensions. We can service pipelines in less than a day and in most cases less than a few hours with the CIPP system.
The process is conducted through the Brady Risk Environmental custom turn-key trailers which are built-out to contain everything we need, making it our shop on wheels. Download PDF with more information.
Using the latest CCTV equipment and reporting methods, we can provide unmatched quality, flexibility and reliability in sewer lateral inspections. Trouble spots, such as cracked or broken tiles, offset joints, and blockages are quickly and precisely located without excavation.
Brady Risk Environmental use the coding and grading of pipe defects in sewer laterals and operator certification standards as set forth in the NASSCO Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program (PACP) and Lateral Assessment and Certification Program (LACP). Download PDF with more information.
Brady Risk Environmental uses customized jetting equipment which sets up easily and rids the sewer lateral of blockages more quickly than any other method available. Water is pumped through specially designed nozzles at a high pressure to scour the lateral clean. Obstructions and debris are removed without any damage to sewer walls whatsoever.
The jetter is also able to address roots that may have intruded the lateral pipe. These roots are cut by the high water pressure. After the roots are removed, we can seal the pipe to ensure that root intrusion with be permanently stopped.
Brady Risk Environmental has a complete JetVac trailer which is portable to service all of the cleaning needs of any lateral job. Download PDF with more information.
In addition to our CCTV Video Inspections, we are able to track the exact location, dimension, and depth of the pipe we are inspecting. Our state-of-the art pipe locator system helps to identify the exact location of any defects within the lateral, guaranteeing an accurate rehabilitation job.

We utilize a one-piece main and lateral connection liner. The mainline and lateral sections are formed as a structure cylinder that renews the mainline and extend up the lateral pipe as one continuous lining.
Brady Risk Environment has spent years understanding the various environmental requirements and regulations set forth by Federal & State agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Environmental Conservation/Protection. Our goal is to help local government achieve compliance through the design and implementation of unique programs that are tailored to address the specific needs of municipalities as it relates to the federal and state laws. Having a sound, turn-key program in place ensures that municipalities improve the conditions of the local environment as well as avoiding penalties and fines associated with the law.
Homeowners, business owners, and other property owners are responsible for making sure that their property abides by the regulations set forth by federal, state, and local laws. Non-compliance with these laws can result in substantial fines and penalties. Working in conjunction with the local government, Brady Risk Environmental can design programs which protect constituents from the burdensome process of repairing or replacing the private lateral.
Independent Studies indicate that 50% to 70% of Inflow and Infiltration is attributable to Private Sewer Laterals.
Failure of private property sewer laterals is unpredictable: repairs tend to be expensive and individual property owners may not be prepared to respond quickly or with full knowledge of what is required to repair aging and leaking sewer lines.
Facilitating the implementation of a private sewer lateral program provides expeditious repair of leaking and broken private service lines, provides environmental benefits, limits damage to infrastructure, reduces costs and enables County resources to be used more efficiently.
What Causes Inflow & Infiltration in Private Sewer Laterals?
Age & Life Expectancy – Open joints and cracks on a substantial portion of sewer lines which are situated in groundwater, resulting in excess inflow, infiltration and exfiltration.
Sewer failures, commonly resulting from a variety of factors which cause the pipe material to deteriorate, such as:
Tree root intrusion
Breaks due to improper connections
Stray wiring shot into the ground
Stray electric current
Connections in disrepair
